FlowNote AI Paid Service and Refund Policy
Effective date: September 7, 2026
This policy governs the use, payment, cancellation and refund of the FlowNote AI paid subscription service provided by Checkend Inc. (주식회사 체크엔드, the "Company").
The Service may use different payment providers for domestic (Korean) payments and international payments, and the payment and refund policy that applies may differ depending on the payment method used.
Article 1 (Paid service)
FlowNote AI is a subscription SaaS (Software as a Service) service.
Members may choose one of the following plans.
- Trial (free)
- Lite
- Pro
- Enterprise
The price, features and usage scope of each plan follow the information shown on the pricing page and checkout screen within the Service.
Article 2 (Free trial)
New members may be offered a 7-day free trial.
During the free trial, FlowNote AI features are available within the scope determined by the Company.
If a paid subscription and payment method are registered together with the free trial and the member does not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription may convert automatically to the selected paid plan and the subscription fee may be charged.
Members may cancel the subscription at any time before the trial ends to stop further automatic payments.
For subscriptions paid through Paddle, the free trial, first payment and withdrawal (cancellation) rights are governed by the Paddle refund terms in Article 7.
Article 3 (Subscription payments)
FlowNote AI paid subscriptions are provided on a monthly basis or for the subscription period separately shown on the checkout screen.
Fees may be charged automatically on the subscription renewal date using the payment method registered by the member.
If the member does not cancel the subscription before the next payment date, the fee for the next billing period is charged automatically.
The exact amount, billing cycle and next payment date can be checked on the checkout screen or the subscription management screen.
Article 4 (Cancelling a subscription)
Members may cancel their subscription at any time.
A standard cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for, and the Service remains available for that paid period.
After the cancellation takes effect, no automatic charge is made for the next period.
Example
- Monthly subscription charged on June 1
- Cancellation requested on June 15
- Service available until the end of the current billing period
- No further automatic charge from the next payment date
However, where a withdrawal or refund is made under applicable law or the Paddle Refund Policy, access to the relevant paid service may end as a result of the refund.
Article 5 (Refunds for domestic payments)
This Article applies to domestic (Korean) payments not processed through Paddle.
FlowNote AI is a digital subscription service (SaaS).
Once use of the Service has begun, fees for a billing period already provided are, as a rule, non-refundable.
Refunds are exceptionally available in the following cases.
① The Service cannot be used normally due to causes attributable to the Company
② A duplicate charge was made for the same payment
③ A refund is required by applicable law
After verification, the Company processes refunds in accordance with applicable law and the policy of the relevant payment method.
The refund conditions in this Article do not apply to transactions processed through Paddle. Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds for Paddle transactions are governed by Article 7.
Article 6 (Cancelling automatic payments)
Members who do not wish to be billed automatically may cancel their subscription at any time.
A standard cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and no further automatic payment is made afterwards.
Members who subscribed through Paddle may also cancel using the subscription management features provided by Paddle.
A cancellation through Paddle generally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no further subscription fee is charged afterwards.
Article 7 (Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds for payments made through Paddle)
This Article applies to transactions processed through Paddle; the domestic refund conditions in Article 5 do not apply to Paddle transactions.
Payments, cancellations, withdrawals and refunds for FlowNote AI made through Paddle are governed by the Paddle Refund Policy and the Paddle Buyer Terms.
Under the Paddle Refund Policy, transactions are as a rule non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless applicable law requires otherwise. However, where a statutory right of withdrawal or refund applies, Paddle processes refunds in line with that right, and Paddle may also review refund requests submitted within 14 days of the transaction on a case-by-case basis at its discretion. Requesting a refund within 14 days does not by itself guarantee a refund.
Where the consumer protection law of the member's country or region grants a statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation, that right takes precedence.
The statutory withdrawal and cancellation periods by country and region stated in Paddle's current Refund Policy are as follows.
- European Union (EU) / EEA / Switzerland / United Kingdom: 14 days for certain digital content and service contracts
- Turkey / Israel: 14 days for certain digital content and service contracts
- South Korea / Brazil / China: 7 days for digital content or service contracts
- Canada: 7 days for digital content or service contracts
- Singapore: 5 days for digital content or services
The specific conditions and scope of each statutory right follow the Paddle Refund Policy and the applicable law of the relevant country or region. Paddle honours any additional or non-waivable rights granted by local consumer protection law or by the supplier.
For certain digital content and service contracts applicable to consumers in the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the UK, the statutory withdrawal right may apply to one-off purchases and to the first payment of a subscription. For subscriptions that include a free trial, a 14-day withdrawal period may apply after the free trial ends.
For UK consumers, annual subscriptions may receive a new 14-day withdrawal period from the date the annual subscription automatically renews.
Where a refund is made under Paddle's refund policy or applicable law, access to the FlowNote AI paid service for that transaction ends.
Article 8 (How to request a Paddle refund)
Members who paid through Paddle may request cancellation, withdrawal or a refund in the following ways.
① Use the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in the transaction confirmation email sent by Paddle
② Use the support link provided on the receipt or on the billing page of the account
③ Use the “Request refund” option in Paddle Buyer Support
Where a refund applies, it is issued to the original payment method where possible and, under the Paddle Refund Policy, processed within 14 days of approval.
Article 9 (Technical problems and service defects)
If a persistent technical problem or material defect prevents a member from using the main features of the purchased service, the member may ask the Company to resolve the issue.
For transactions paid through Paddle, the member may first ask the Company for a fix or a refund and, if the issue is not resolved, request a refund from Paddle through Paddle Buyer Support.
Where a material technical problem or product defect is confirmed, Paddle may process a refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
Article 10 (Changing plans)
Members may change plans within the scope provided by the Service.
The price, effective timing and usage period applied on upgrade or downgrade are shown on the plan change screen or the checkout screen within the Service.
Changes to subscriptions paid through Paddle may be subject to Paddle's payment and subscription policies.
Article 11 (Payment failure)
Payment may fail for reasons such as exceeding the limit of the registered payment method, insufficient funds, card expiry or authorisation failure.
The Company may notify the member of the failure, and if payment is not completed within a certain period, use of the paid service may be restricted or the subscription may be cancelled.
For payments through Paddle, Paddle may retry a failed payment, and if payment is ultimately not completed the subscription may be cancelled.
Article 12 (Restriction of service use)
In the following cases the Company may restrict use of the Service or terminate the service agreement in accordance with applicable law and the Terms of Service.
- Breach of the Terms of Service
- Use of the Service for unlawful purposes
- Unauthorised use of another person's payment method
- Abnormal use of the Service or of AI features
- Conduct that interferes with normal operation of the Service
In such cases, payment cancellation and refunds are handled under the law applicable to the transaction and the policy of the payment provider.
Refund rights for transactions made through Paddle are not limited by this Article and follow Article 7 and the Paddle Refund Policy.
Article 13 (Application of refund policy by payment method)
FlowNote AI may offer different payment services in Korea and internationally.
Domestic payments not processed through Paddle
→ Handled under Article 5 of this policy and applicable Korean law.
Payments processed through Paddle
→ Handled under Articles 7 and 8 of this policy, the Paddle Refund Policy, the Paddle Buyer Terms and applicable law.
The Company does not apply the domestic refund conditions in Article 5, or any separate refund restrictions of its own, to limit the rights guaranteed by the Paddle Refund Policy for Paddle transactions.
Where this policy differs from the Paddle Refund Policy, the user rights guaranteed by the Paddle Refund Policy and applicable mandatory consumer protection law prevail for transactions processed through Paddle.
